Flora of the Mount Seinav surroundings (Vetveisky Range, Koryak Highlands, Kamchatka Krai, Russia)

Year: 2022, Number: 1, Pages: 5-25

This work provides an annotated list of vascular plants of 331 species and subspecies occuring in the south of Mount Seinav (Vetveisky Range). Carex hepburnii, Salix alexii-skvortsovii, Dryas integrifolia subsp. crenulata, Dryas punctata subsp. alaskensis were collected in Kamchatka Krai for the first time, Poa shumushuensis and Viola selkirkii were collected in Northern Koryakia for the first time. This is currently one of the best studied and richest specific floras of the forest-tundra territories of the mainland Kamchatka. Presumably, the flora’s richness is associated with outcrops of ultramafic geological dunite substrates, composing this section of the Vetveisky Range.
