A taxonomic revision of the available data on the freshwater algae flora of the Bolshekhekhtsirsky Reserve was conducted, 47 new species of diatoms were identified. An annotated list of freshwater algae of the reserve numbered 357 species of algae (including varieties and forms − 376) from 7 divisions, 61 families and 139 genera is given. The most numerous and diverse were Bacillariophyta − 169 species (including species and forms − 188) and Charophyta − 69 species. Actinella brasiliensis Grunow, Eunotia zygodon Ehrenberg, Stenopterobia capitata (Fontell) Lange-Bertalot et Metzeltin and Surirella pantocsekii Meister are the most interesting and rare species of algae. These species are characterized by peculiar environmental features and have limited distribution.
