A new name, Michajlowastasia nom. nov., is introduced as a replacement name for the pre-occupied euglenoid genus name Parastasia Michajłow, 1972 (nec Westwood, 1841). Eighteen species-group names are referred to this new generic name. © 2008 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
