New records of the species of Carpelimus Leach, 1819 (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae, Oxytelinae) from China.

A tabular check-list of 40 species of the genus Carpelimus from China and Taiwan is given. Four species, C. nepalicus, C. pappi, C. padangensis and C. burckhardti, are recorded from China for the first time. The distribution of the species in the Palaeacrtic and Oriental regions of China is discussed.
