Strongylium clavipes Mäklin, 1864 is transferred from Strongylium (tribe Stenochiini) to Pigeus (tribe Cnodalonini) and new combination is proposed: Pigeus clavipes (Mäklin, 1864), comb. n. An annotated list of the species of the genus Pigeus Gebien, 1919 is also given.
