DNA barcoding of mayflies (Ephemeroptera) in Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia
Number: 533, Pages: 7 - 19
DNA barcodes of 75samples from 10 species were obtained, fourof which were previously described from Kamchatka watercourses. Comparative analysis of the new sequences anddata from the BOLD system made it possible to expand the rangesfor Acentrella diptera Kluge et Novikova, 2011, Baetis pseudothermicus Kluge, 1983, Cinygmula malaisei Ulmer, 1927, Ephemerella aurivillii Bengtsson, 1908, and E. mucronata Bengtsson, 1908. Sequences XJDQD534-18- XJDQD542-18 from China should be transferredfrom the genus Baetiella Ueno 1931 to thespecies Baetis pseudothermicus. Despitethe highK2P distancesfor Ephemerella mucronata and E. aurivillii, we do not consider to dividethem intoseveral species andpropose to increase the threshold of intraspecific differences by 6.47% or more for the genus Ephemerella Walsh of the family Ephemerellidae.
