New records of the striped hamster Cricetulus barabensis in the Jewish Autonomous Region and Khabarovsk Krai are described. The species is documented for the first time in the fauna of Khabarovsk Krai, where it was found in a humid habitat alongside forest species including Apodemus peninsulae, Myodes rutilus and Craseomys rufocanus. The paper presents data on the morphology of the body, skull and dentition of the striped hamster and discusses its subspecies structure.
