In summer of 2018 the Center for Himalayan Research at the St. Petersburg Association of Scientists & Scholars organized an interdisciplinary expedition to central Nepal and south-western Tibet (China). Ten participants visited Kathmandu and Pokhara valleys as well Langtang area in Nepal, and, later, travelled across south-western Tibet from Kyirong District (Xigazê Prefecture) to Zanda District (Ngari Prefecture). Field observations in zoology, biogeography, hydrobiology, limnology, palynology, social geography and science history were conducted.
