Brown-eared bulbul is a migratory bird which rarely occurs in Russia. The species was first registered in the Ussuri Nature Reserve in October 16, 2003. Later this bird was recorded in the Primorye Territory several times in a periods of seasonal migrations. In 2017 Brown-eared bulbul is first registered in the Ussuri Nature Reserve in winter.
