Working out local ecological scales and  use of ones for classification  of forest vegetation  with  Pinus koraiensis

Year: 2000, Issue: XLVI, Pages: 7 - 72

In the present study we attempted to estimate environmental conditions by indication of forest vegetation using the method of ecological scales by L.G. Ramensky and some methods of ecological-floristical classification by Braun-Blanquet. Using the original computer program, we made up local ecological tables for 170 species of vascular plants on the basis of humidity factors, active richness of soils and temperature gradient of environment. These ecological scales allowed us to receive much more objective estimation for 210 plant communities, being described. Geobotanic description selection was grouped into 13 types of forest. They were classified into stages between 59 and 69 according to soil humidity gradient, between 6 and 13 stages in accord with active richness of soils and between 7 and I 0 stages according to temperature gradient.
