Rare vascular plant species on protected natural areas in the Primorsky Territory

Year: 1996, Issue: XLII, Pages: 139 - 155

Academician V.L. Komarov paid special attention to floristic subdivision of the Amur River basin, Primorsky Territory including. Following this approach I proposed a detailed scheme for environmental impact assessment. It is based on study of rare and endangered vascular plants populations, firstly - upon their concentration in various parts of Primorsky Territory. This scheme permits to compare correctly how much of species and populations exist and how much of them are under some kind of protection or regulation. Applying this method we can evaluate ecological situation. The list of various protected natural areas (nature reserves, wildlife refuges and natural monuments) with indication of rare and endangered vascular plant species is proposed. Now we can compare modern system of protected natural areas with that one which is to be established in coming years. It is very important now, because privatization of land plots is coming.
